Halloween Quilt Sampler WIP

I'm so excited; Karen Kluba, the designer behind Rosewood Manor, has finally released a Halloween design! And it just happens to be the model that I'm working on for her, so I can honestly say that it is a really fun stitch! A picture of the completed piece can be found on Karen's site: Halloween Quilt Sampler.

Since the design has already been released, I asked Karen for permission to post my current WIP pic, and she gave the okay, so here is mine as of yesterday:

Aren't the colors yummy?! And it stitches up pretty quickly; this is after only a couple of weeks of work.

So back to work I go; I'm hoping to have this finished in the first week of August, and then get back to Silver Moon Tea.

Another Chance at the Passione Ricamo Mystery SAL

Laura has reopened sign-ups for her mystery SAL until the end of July, so if you think you'd like it, sign up now! The picture in the sidebar to the right will take you to the ordering page; here's a refresher pic of my part 1:

Laura mentioned on Facebook that she wasn't sure how the black fabric was going to work with the rest of the design, so this could get interesting!

I've received another model to stitch for Karen, so I had to put Silver Moon Tea aside for a bit. Here is the last picture before I took her off the Qsnaps:

The colors in this one are just amazing, and I am really looking forward to getting back to it; hopefully, by the beginning of August.

I'll leave you with a picture of Keishu; it makes me think that when the aliens invade, they'll start with our cats! ;D

Hope everyone has a great week of stitching!

Silver Moon Tea update

After taking several days off to work on the L*K and PR Mystery SALs, I'm back at work on Mirabilia's Silver Moon Tea. I'm hoping to have this one done before the end of the month, when the next parts in the two SALs are released:

I was planning on filling in more of the background before starting on the lady (the best part!), but I just couldn't resist any longer. I'm really looking forward to the bright colors in her dress, so hopefully I can get to that this weekend.

After working on the 35ct linen for the L*K piece, and 32ct black linen for the PR piece, this 28ct opal Lugana (Rosey Glow, from Colours of the Outback) feels nice and easy to work on. I am just really enjoying stitching this one, and looking forward to seeing it finished.

Hope everyone has a great stitchy weekend!

Passione Ricamo SAL, part 1 finished

Last night I finished the first part of the PR SAL, and I am really hoping to keep up with each part of this one as it is released. As mentioned in a previous post, when I saw how sparkly the border was going to be, and that the inner portion was going to be filled in with blue, I decided to stitch this on black Belfast. So, what do you think--does it glow?  ;)

I did make one small change, as those purple beads are also supposed to be around the blue portion of the design. I switched to a petite bead, because I just didn't think that the regular size would fit in a nice line like that. Unfortunately, there is no petite bead in that exact shade of purple, but I think they work.

So this one has been put away until the next part comes out in August, and it is back to Silver Moon Tea for a while. I've made some progress on this since the last picture, so there should be a really good, updated pic soon.

Hope everyone has a great stitchy week!
